I initially started out as a general tutor, but transitioned into purely SAT/ACT tutoring upon the recommendations/referrals of past students. I am able to tutor both the current SAT as well as the new SAT that will be administered starting March 2016. My scores: • SAT - 2350 (Verbal - 750) (Math - 800) (Writing - 800) • ACT - 35 (English - 35) (Math - 35) (Reading - 35) (Science - 36) Relevant experience: • 2 years tutoring elementary students (grades 3-5) in reading skills/comprehension and mathematics • 2 years SAT tutoring as a personal tutor • worked as a summer resident advisor for pre-college/college undergraduates at the Johns Hopkins University for 2 summers • volunteered as a mentor for adolescents ages 12-18 at the Sheppard Pratt Mann Residential Treatment Center in Towson, MD My goal is not only to help students to better understand the standardized test process, but also to teach them strategies that can be applied to future standardized tests.
